Documenting the Nameplate is a project celebrating nameplate jewelry culture. We have hosted open-call events in New York City, Houston, and Los Angeles, where attendees had their nameplates photographed and shared stories for our forthcoming book. In addition, we have an email address and online portal through which anyone, worldwide, can submit images and/or anecdotes. Our project aims to foreground plurality and nonlinear history-making, and we are hoping to access as wide-ranging of a submission base as possible.

Isabel Flower, Marcel Rosa-Salas, and Kyle Richardson are friends living in New York City. Marcel is assistant professor of marketing at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Isabel is a writer and editor. Together they host the Top Rank Podcast. Kyle is an independent graphic designer who will be joining Yale’s Graphic Design MFA program in the fall of 2021. She is designing the culminating book.
